Chocolate Honey Brownies


Delicious, rich fudge brownies. Perfect when you need a chocolate fix.

Ingredients

1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
6 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1 tablespoon rum or vanilla
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

Melt chocolate and butter in a pan placed over a pot of hot, not boiling water. Remove from heat as soon as chocolate melts. Cool. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add honey and flavoring. Beat well.

Stir in sifted ingredients and nuts. Pour batter into buttered 8 X 8 inch pan.

Bake for about 30 minutes until brownies test done.
